Jake was born December 31st, 1991.  He lived the first thirteen years of his life in a small farming community just south of Saginaw Michigan where he attended school, went to church, and began the love for the music that would change his life forever. Life was pretty simple with a go-cart, shooting guns in the back forty with Dad, playing with his dog, and working on old cars in the garage with his Grandpa. An Elvis fan since 6 years old, his interest in Elvis began when his Grandparents acquired the internet. While listening to an online 1950’s music channel, the sounds of “You’re So Square (Baby I Don’t Care)” echoed through the speakers. The artist’s name accompanying the song title was that of Elvis Presley. The light bulb lit up and the gene of Rock n’ Roll was switched on.

At the age of thirteen, Jake made an important move north to Bellaire, Michigan the same as Elvis did from Tupelo to Memphis all those years ago. This move proved to be a turning point, and the doors of opportunity were soon opened for Jake and his career as an Elvis tribute artist. Christmas 2007 would be the first time anyone would see Jake perform, besides his parents in their living room back in St. Charles. A brief show for family and neighbors would be the debut of his idea to tribute to the King of Rock n’ Roll. The idea was young but the potential was there for something special. One audience member, a very good friend and neighbor Jean Ann Gordon, would be the one to later get Jake his very first show, in the summer of 2008. This was the beginning of Jake performing for the public. It was a sold out show and a big confidence boost. A week to the day after that first show the phone rang and on the other end was someone wanting to book a show on the opposite side of the state. Since then, the phones haven’t stopped ringing and the shows continue.

Jake is a National and International award winning Elvis Tribute Artist that has performed all over Michigan, across the country, and as well as Canada.  Jake performs all eras of Elvis’s music, the 1950’s, 1960’s, and 1970’s. He has performed for audiences of all sizes, sold out shows, and for many wonderful causes. Elvis tribute competitions were another layer of expansion in Jake’s career; the first being, the Saginaw Kingfest, where he won the Early Years segment of the contest in 2009. In 2011 he competed again and won the entire competition, receiving the title of King of Saginaw! Jake has the distinction of being the only King of Saginaw who has won both the Early Years and Concert Years portions of the competition as well as winning the overall title. In 2011, Jake competed in Branson, MO and Tupelo, MS in the Ultimate Elvis Tribute Artist preliminary rounds. He then also competed in the preliminary round at the Windsor Elvis Festival in June 2011. It was there that he qualified and went on to represent Windsor, Ontario, later that year and getting to compete in the Ultimate Elvis Tribute Artist Competition in Memphis, TN. Jake was one of only twenty-six qualifying tribute artists from around the world at the 2011 competition in Memphis. In April 2013, Jake was awarded 2nd place in the Branson Elvis Festival for the second time. He has performed four SOLD OUT shows at the Bay City State Theatre, with two of those sellouts in the same year, 2013! Jake received an official congratulation certificate letter noting the sellouts. No other performer has accomplished this at the State Theatre.

Jake then competed and won the title of King of Saginaw again in 2014! He is the only Elvis Tribute Artist to win this title twice and remains the reigning King of Saginaw. From there, he qualified to go on and compete in Memphis, TN at the Elvis Entertainers Network Championships. Jake recently performed at Bay City, Michigan’s Wenonah Park this past summer 2015, where it stated in the newspapers the following day, that there were over 5,000 fans that attended! A recent accomplishment for Jake, was being featured on the cover of Northern Express Magazine, which also included a feature interview article issue inside!
